casting for ranger's apprentice

i'm bored, and i want to do something to pass the time until a bunch of little kids come in an hour and twenty minutes, so i thought, "what the hell, may as well do some casting." so here comes my cast of ranger's apprentice (i've been reading the series for a while and i like it, so.) i'm just doing this on the spot, with no real thought of who i want cast, so the choices may or may not seem unlikely for you.
 

LOGAN LERMAN
as will treaty

you knew this was coming. i cast logan practically in every book i read. he's a good actor, and he looks a lot like will - he knows how to ride a horse and he's good with everything - he's done future, he's done fantasy, he's done comedies, he's done westerns and he's going to be playing d'artagnan in the 2010 adaptation of the three musketeers. he looks young, he's eighteen and he can look older, too. i think he'd be a very good choice for will.

this picture just struck me, and he does look a lot like will. but better acting than looks, huh?


GARY OLDMAN
as halt o'carrick

okay, i don't know much about him except as sirius in the harry potter moies, but in this picture, at least, he looks a lot like halt.


JUSTIN GASTON
as horace altman

okay, i have no idea who he is, but he looks a bit like horace in my opinion.


MILO V
as gilan

don't know him, but looks a lot like gilan. i think.
